This is the first issue of year number three. BLT's second anniversary. We still have weird haircuts and non-functional cars and live in a scummy group house, but we sure have a lot of cool computer equipment and office supplies now. So BLT is having a birthday and simultaneously giving birth to a glossier publication, Blue Blood. Blue Blood is an erotic magazine for the counterculture, for people who are drawn to long hair and mohawks and tattoos and leather and piercings. A number of people have asked whether that means that Black Leather Times will be no more. The answer is no. BLT will not die. In fact, we are moving ever closer to world domination; we are printing two thousand copies now.
Do you consider yourself artistic? Do your friends laugh at the things you say because of your great wit? Does your boss laugh at you because of your terrible haircut? Do shop owners assume you are a thief? Do prostitutes think you are a drug addict? Do policemen believe you are a murdering carjacker? Do people at orgies refuse to share needles with you, even when all the other kids get to play? If you answered 'yes' to any of the above questions, then you may be qualified to write or draw things for BLT. Writers' guidelines: Make it funny and cool and keep it short. Artists' guidelines: Make it funny and cool and keep it narrower than four inches.

Deadline for submissions and advertising for the New Year's/Suicide issue of BLT is December 2, 1992. If you ordered a Blue Blood subscription before November 5, you will be receiving the premiere issue before December 1.
