It has come to our attention that some DC scenesters were offended by
the last BLT, the Punk Rock Success issue. As a public service, the
Black Leather Times staff would like to highlight the salient points
of that issue:
- Most members of the BLT staff believe that it is good to be different from the other children.
- Being different does not mean you can not be successful in the mainstream.
- Being different should mean you will try to be successful on your own terms, doing something you love.
- You have the ability to make your life better. If you are a failure, it is not the fault of your cool hair. It is your fault as a whole person. Try, try again. You CAN be accomplished and get the things you desire and keep your nifty hairstyle too.
- You should encourage your peers to get off their butts, use their considerable talents, and DO SOMETHING.
- People from cities other than DC all seemed to be amused by the Punk Rock Success issue and they seemed to get the point (unlike you.) Onwards . . .
